George Isaac Joseph Prater enlisted in the Army on 17th June 1915, giving his name as George Isaac Prater. He spent time at Blackboy Hill and was discharged after 2 months training as medically unfit. Six months later he enlisted again under the name of Joe Prater. This time he was accepted and joined the 28th Battalion.
