1. Do I need to register or log in to use this website?

No. This site is accessible to anyone. Just type your search terms into the Search box or explore the site via the drop down menus and front page buttons. The Login button is only for Administration purposes.

2. Is there only Western Australian information on this website?

All of the people represented on these pages have a connection to Western Australia, either themselves or through their descendents. Many people have served in the Military in other states of Australia and in other countries and their records are on this site too.

3. Is this website only for World War 1 and 2 records?

No. This digital library contains records pertaining to any time period. We have pages for people from the 1800's up to the present day.

4. Why are these documents and items important?

These items show the personal side of military service rather than battle information and official records that are readily available from other sources. Each person was so much more than a name and number on a headstone and their experiences are a very important part of our family history, our commmunity's history and our State's history.

5. Can I send you a photocopy of my family documents?

We prefer to take a high quality digital copy of your original document with the specialist equipment that we have. We will then return the original items to you. Please contact us if you wish to discuss any aspect of contributing images.

6. Can I donate my items to you?

No. We are a digital library and do not have a physical space where we can store original items. We would encourage you to contact a local studies library or museum.
