Second Anglo-Boer War, 1902 - Neil Lamont enlisted in the 8th Battalion, Australian Commonwealth Horse. The 8th Battalion had a number of squadrons and D Squadron was comprised of men who enlisted in Western Australia. He was a part of Number 3 Troop, who were men who enlisted from the Goldfields District.
