This account of Arthur's early life and military service was written by his daughter, Nerina.
During World War 2, Arthur joined the 10 Garrison Battalion and was a part of the Coastal Defence. He spent time on Rottnest Island building tunnels and gun emplacements, as well as defending Batteries around Perth and Fremantle.
