Hal Finkelstein was taken prisoner on 1st June 1941 while on the Island of Crete. He was held at Dulag 183, Stalag IXB, Stalag VIIIB and Stalag IXC. His POW number was 8172.

Hal was interviewed on 1st November, 1998 by Bob Huston for the Army Museum of WA. This is the transcript of that interview.





As Hal was reviewing the transcript of his interview, he realised that he had so many more stories to tell. This is his story written in June 2000.
