The well known Cheops Pyramid photo was taken on 10th January, 1915. There were 1024 men in the original recruits for the 11th Battalion and 704 of them marched to the Great Pyramid and had their photo taken. Frank sat next to his brother Fred and they can be seen at grid reference A18. Frank is sitting on the right and Fred sits to the left. Both brothers died on the 25th April, the first day of the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli.
