Only parts of the diaries written by Charles Sykes survive. This selection of pages begins on Thursday 23rd November 1916, as the Company were preparing to go to France and ends on Sunday 14th October, 1917.





These two pages dated Tuesday 16th October, 1917 were tucked inside a 1918 diary. Then there were diary pages dated Monday 22nd October 1917 to Saturday 10th November 1917.





This diary begins on 1st March, 1918 and continues until 3rd October 1918.
