New Guinea Campaign

The campaign in New Guinea lasted from January 1942 until September 1945. Five Divisions from the 2nd Australian Imperial Force and the Citizen Military Force served in Papua and New Guinea alongside the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Air Australian Force. 385 members of the Australian Women's Army Service also served there.
