Colin McDonald was a journalist who worked for the 'West Australian' newspaper in Fremantle in the 1920's. He left Perth and joined newspapers in Malaya and Hong Kong before going to China to represent the 'London Times' and 'Reuters'. He received the United States Expeditionary Medal for his work.
