37th Australian Field Artillery Battery

The Universal Service Scheme that began in 1911 resulted in enough young men serving in the Citizen Military Force for two Artillery Batteries in Western Australia. They were called the 37th Field Artillery Battery and the 38th Field Artillery Battery.

The men from the 37th who volunteereed to serve overseas during World War 1 became part of the 1st Australian Divisional Artillery.
