Margaret Muriel Robinson(usually known as Muriel) volunteered and trained with the St John Ambulance Association in Perth in August 1915 and then travelled independently to England. She volunteered with the St John Association in London as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) and worked in hospitals around London.
