The 48th Battalion was made up of mostly South Australian enlistments but there were a significant number of Western Australians amongst the ranks as well.From this battalion there were 3 Officers and 216 men captured and interred in POW camps. Of this total, 2 Officers and 68 men came from Western Asutralia. Some of them are listed here.
