This is a list of all the men who served with the 11th Battalion VDC. Some transferred to the AIF, some transferred to the CMF, others moved to another area and transferred to another VDC Battalion but most of them remained in this Unit for the duration of the War.
The Battalion was organised into 4 Companies. A Company covered the Kimberley area; B Company covered the Port Hedland area; C Company covered the Onslow area and D Company covered the Carnarvon/Yarringa area.
The C and D Companies of the Battalion were placed on the Reserve List on 31st July 1944. Their duties lessened but they continued to hold regular parades and conduct rifle range practice. The entire Unit was disbanded on 31st December 1944.
The history of Number 1 Battalion (Perth) was compiled in 1942.
