The 10th Light Horse was a mounted infantry regiment and was not a cavalry regiment. They used their horses to travel to the battlefields and then usually dismounted and fought on foot alongside infantry regiments. The 10th Light Horse was a mounted infantry regiment and was not a cavalry regiment. They used their horses to travel to the battlefields and then usually dismounted and fought on foot alongside infantry regiments. Many soldiers from the 10th Light Horse transferred to the Imperial Camel Corps, which also operated as a mounted infantry unit.
