This group photo of the 3rd reinforcements of the 2/28th Battalion was taken before leaving Western Australia and was amongst the papers of HANSEN, Robert Ormond - WX6911.






There are copies of "Tobruk To Borneo", the quarterly journal of the 2/28th Battalion and 24th A/Tank Company Association Inc., listed in the Publications section on this Digital Library.



CANTWELL, Roland Daniel - WX12658 was a Lieutenant in the 2/28th and kept a handwritten notebook with the details of the men in his section.





A copy of the Routine Order No 1587 from HQ 2/28th Australian Infantry Battalion dated 1 August 1942 was amongst the papers of CANTWELL, Roland Daniel - WX12658.





While serving in Borneo, a Japanese sword was captured and returned to Western Australia after the war. The following paperwork was amongst the papers of CANTWELL, Roland Daniel - WX12658.





This collection of photos was posted to the Editor of the 'Tobruk To Borneo', quarterly journal of the 2/28th Battalion and 24th A/Tank Coy. Association. There is no indication of who sent the photos. They were all taken around Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in the Middle East.
